Matthew has attended the most recent meeting to discuss progress on the introduction of step free access at Mill Hill Broadway station. The station was awarded 'Access for All' funding by the Government in 2019.
Matthew joined volunteers from the Give It Forward Today (GIFT) charity at Mill Hill Synagogue to pack food, clothes and other necessities for the people of Ukraine. Boxes were constructed before being packed with the goods and loaded onto a lorry to make the journey overseas.
Matthew has welcomed the consultation published by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on limits to the discharge of storm overflows. The consultation marks a step change in the way water companies reduce the number of times raw sewage is released into rivers and water courses.

As Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Explosive Threats, I released a statement denouncing Russia for the reported use of cluster munitions in Ukraine.
Matthew attended the Humane Society International UK reception to discuss the group’s campaigning on enhancing animal welfare, ahead of the forthcoming Animals Abroad Bill.
