Matthew was pleased to welcome the Home Secretary the Rt Hon. Theresa May MP to Hendon last week to witness a Citizenship ceremony at Hendon Town Hall. The ceremony was attended by a large number of people from countries such as Turkey, Greece, Somalia, Kosovo, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malaysia, the Philippines and India, all of whom have chosen to move to Barnet and contibute to the rich diversity of nationalities and cultures which make up our borough.

Matthew continued, ""The constituency of Hendon was further honoured by the Home Secretary’s visit, coming in the same week that plans were announced to reform the police service by giving local people a greater say in the way their areas are policed.”
