Matthew attends Apprenticeship Showcase

Matthew was delighted to attend the Annual Apprenticeship Showcase in the Houses of Parliament.

Around 200 apprentices from employers across the country were at the event, showcasing their skills along with representatives from education, training providers, the media, trade association and parents. For the past three years the industry has invited MP’s to meet young people from their constituency along with parents, employers, trainers and the media.

Matthew was delighted to meet his constituent, Kris Mentor, Assistant Management Accountant at Beds and Bars to present him his award.

Matthew said: "Apprenticeships are becoming increasingly important in our changing economy. The industry supports millions of jobs and I was interested to learn that hospitality, is the third largest private sector employer, double the size of the financial services industry and bigger than the automotive, pharmaceuticals and aerospace sectors combined."
