Matthew was pleased to visit Bus Stop Bikes and its neighbour The Print Shop in Church Road, Hendon which offer employment opportunities to adults with learning difficulties.
The shops are owned by Jewish charity Kisharon, which provides a wide range of services and support networks for people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Matthew chatted to a number of employees who become involved in every aspect of the businesses from the manufacture to customer sales. Matthew said: "I really admire what Kisharon does. Not only does the charity provide employment opportunities and training but they are running a viable and sustainable business too. This is a fantastic model of a social enterprise which gives people with learning difficulties a real sense of their own value.”
